Fat loss is always a hot topic and today more people are struggling with weight issues than ever before. According to the CDC, the obesity prevalence was 40.0% among adults aged 20 to 39 years, 44.8% among adults aged 40 to 59 years, and 42.8% among adults aged 60 and older (June 2021). Why is this happening? Well the obesity epidemic can be attributed to many reasons, but it all usually comes down to our reliance on convenience and lack of proper nutrition. Things like eating fast foods or packaged foods with low nutritional value, drinking too many high calories drinks like sodas and specialty coffee drinks, driving instead of walking, taking the elevator rather than the stairs, etc. can all be factors to unnecessary weight gain. Whatever your reasons are, being overweight is a problematic health issue and can lead to a variety of preventable diseases.
